Sawsan is a Syrian researcher, activist, philosopher, and designer. She studied Philosophy and social science and specialized in political science. Her passion for finding communicative tools to connect academic humanities and activism activated her great interest in design and methodology. She has studied and taught in Open Design Course for refugees and asylum seekers, KASK, Gent. She is a co-founding member of The Post Collective, The Post (film) Collective and Metaspora project. Her artistic work examines the intersections of motherhood, statelessness and disability in a poetic and softly political way.
