On the 1st December 2023, The Post Collective got an invitation by AMAL, an agency for Integration and Civic Integration in Gent, to give an inspirational workshop on changing the narrative, to the employees of the organization.
“During that day, we are coming together with all of our colleagues to exchange about “the narrative”. As an organization whose mission is about living together in diversity, we find it important to critically reflect about the words and frames we use in our everyday practices when talking with and about people with migration background.
Away from boring theories and rational statements, we aim to inspire our colleagues. The idea is to offer a number of workshops/sessions in which people can have a taste of different experiences, and become aware of our blind spots so that we can reduce them.”
The Post Collective shared and discussed the PAACT in 4 different groups of workers of AMAL, who were later invited to re-narrate the stories they heard and develop ways they can integrate them in their work.
